Behavior
The T.DIST.2T
function in Jspreadsheet calculates the two-tailed Student's t-distribution, commonly used in hypothesis testing. It requires two arguments:
x
– the numeric input value (must be ≥ 0).degrees_freedom
– the degrees of freedom (must be ≥ 1).
- If either argument is non-numeric, the function returns a
#VALUE!
error. - If
x < 0
ordegrees_freedom < 1
, the function returns a#NUM!
error. - Boolean values are converted to numbers (
TRUE = 1
,FALSE = 0
). - Empty cells or text values return a
#VALUE!
error.

T.DIST.2T(2, 8) Returns approximately 0.0805 → probability of observing a value ≥ ±2 with 8 degrees of freedom.
T.DIST.2T(TRUE, 5) Since TRUE = 1, this is equivalent to T.DIST.2T(1, 5), which returns approximately 0.3432.
