The NORMDIST
function in Jspreadsheet Formulas Pro is used to calculate the normal distribution, given a specific mean and standard deviation. In simpler terms, it helps to understand how data is spread out around the average in a set of data. It generates a probability that a random variable will fall within a certain range, based on the mean (average) and standard deviation (spread) you provide. This function is particularly useful in statistical analysis and forecasting.

NORMDIST(x, mean, standard_dev, cumulative)

Behavior
The NORMDIST
function calculates the normal probability density for a given set of parameters. It requires four arguments: the value for which you want the distribution, the arithmetic mean of the distribution, the standard deviation, and a logical value to determine the type of distribution.
- If any of the cells referenced in the function are empty, the function will return an error.
- If non-numeric values (such as text) are provided as arguments, the function will return an error. Boolean values are treated as numbers (TRUE = 1, FALSE = 0).
- If the standard deviation argument is less than or equal to 0, the function will return an error.
- If the logical value for the cumulative argument is neither 0 (for the probability density function) nor 1 (for the cumulative distribution function), the function will return an error.

- Always ensure the data used for the mean and standard deviation arguments are numeric.
